Kofi Annan's UN Legacy
The outgoing Secretary General's legacy can be summed up in just a few words: Darfur Iran Oil for Food The Congo Basically, he just proved how inneffective and corrupt the UN can be.
Blogger seems to still have a few bugs to work out. At least it kept your sign in name--a lot of identities are switched to "anonymous" in the comments section. I am not a voluntary supporter of the UN, believing it to be obsolete, but we should hope that the UNSG's position is to be filled by a more competant leader.
It is so refreshing to me to see this opinion about Kofi Annan and the UN. Not just because it mirrors my own views, but because it seems so obvious to me what the UN is about and so many people just don't get it.
