This recent video from Baghdad brought tears to my eyes, out of gratitude for seeing our troops trying to make good with the population, and out of sympathy for these children who live among so much violence. It feels good to see them have a happy moment.
I have to bring up a unattributed quote here, because I can't remember who said it:
"If the Iraqis loved their children more than they hate each other, they would stop the violence."
